Jérémie Ndjoye

Who am I?

I'm originally from Gabon, where I earned a science baccalauréat (Series C) and finished 4th nationwide. I then moved to France for my higher education and gradually specialized in data science and statistical modeling. I'm now in the third year of the BUT in Data Science (Bachelor's level), Statistical Exploration and Modeling track, and I'm completing a work-study apprenticeship at INSERM (the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research) as an Assistant Research Engineer.

In June 2026, I received the African Student Excellence Award, Platinum category (Prix d'Excellence de l'Étudiant Africain), which recognizes my academic record since I arrived in France.

At INSERM, I work in the Pharmacometrics team, where I analyze bioanalytical data, build models and develop applications that automate routine processing tasks. During my studies, I've also worked with several machine learning models and a wide range of data analysis problems.

On the side, I'm teaching myself to apply these methods to financial problems, with a focus on fraud detection, risk modeling and portfolio management.

Volunteering and community involvement

I volunteer with the NGO Notre Gabon, an organization run by young Gabonese people committed to their country. In its Impact and Evaluation team, I help track the organization's programs by designing surveys, analyzing beneficiary feedback and writing reports that measure their impact.

I also serve as the work-study students' representative for my class. I bring their feedback to the teaching staff and take part in discussions on how to improve their experience.

Sports

Sport is a big part of my daily life. I've loved football since childhood and played for three years at Mavnour FC in Libreville, where we won several trophies. Today I still play with the university team.

I also run, lift weights and, more recently, have taken up boxing. These activities keep me balanced outside my studies and feed my taste for hard work and for pushing my limits.

Travel, landscapes and discoveries

I enjoy discovering new environments and the variety of landscapes. From the Lesio-Louna reserve in Congo-Brazzaville to the Maspalomas dunes in the Canary Islands, my travels have introduced me to very different habitats and fed my curiosity about nature.

I also value the human side of travel: encountering new cultures, talking with local people and stepping outside my usual frame of reference. Every destination is a chance to learn in a different way.
